The only good part about this job is the amount of PTO you accrue. Since on a daily basis you are so understaffed you are not guaranteed a lunch or your 2 15 minute breaks Complaints that are taken to management get no consideration and nothing ever changes. Also, since the job is in healthcare you are not always given any breaks.You are not guaranteed a break in healthcare if taking a break interferes with patient care. A typical workday is running around the hospital for 8 hours trying to keep up but failing miserably because you are short staffed. Lazy employees and hard working employees both get the same amount of recognition, which is none. It is so abused at this company that sometimes only one or 2 people will show up for a shift. Most, if not every employee has FMLA and can call off when ever they like. Working at ACL you are ALWAYS understaffed.

Plus you have to quickly make correct decisions on how to process all tubes of blood. The training for processing is also HORRIBLE!!! You are released on your own too fast!!! They say you have co-workers to help you out until you have the knowledge but co-workers are too busy to explain! They push you to bring a patient into your lab room, draw them, get them out of your lab room immediately & on to the next patient. It is a VERY difficult learning skill that you have to be exactly precise or you're terminated. Not only do you draw blood, you also have to process all the orders. ACL does NOT care if you fail-they just keep replacing staff with new faces instead of handling bully situations so they can retain good staff!!! They expect you to draw blood from patients when you are not prepared to do so & so patients sense that. & terrible bully coworkers!!! The environment is out of control!!!!Īlso, they push you through a very short training period & throw you out to the wolves. Of course the high turnover is caused by very bad mgmt.

This is an absolute HORRIBLE company to work for!!!!! Management does NOT handle bad work situations, staff is left without management ar.aound & so the office bullies are in full force!!! You are hired for a certain amount of hours but they expect you to stay longer because they are always short-staffed & a very high turnover.
